Agates are members of the Quartz family with a microcrystalline structure and banded patterns. Moss Agate is not a true agate because it does not contain banded patterns that characterize agate. Instead, it contains green coloured mineral inclusions in dendritic growth patterns that can resemble moss. Some moss agates also contain red. Moss agate is a strongly grounding, peaceful and benevolent crystal, a beautiful gateway for connecting to the energy of nature, Mother Earth and trees. It is also reputed to be an excellent abundance stone!
